We generated two parallel 54-m-long records at 10-cm resolution and thus produced a standard Pacific stable isotope reference curve for the 26.4- to 30.0-Ma interval within the Oligocene. These data are necessary to document the timing and magnitude of glacial events through the Oligocene. Pronounced variations are recorded in both planktonic and benthic foraminifer delta (super 13) C between +0.32% and +1.67% and -0.18% and +1.09%, respectively.
