It has been shown that during the age span of 30-50 m.y. the maximum magnetization saturation and iron content has been observed and this maximum corresponds with the minimum spreading rate and rate of drift of paleomagnetic poles. The observed laws are global in character.--Modified journal abstract.</gco:CharacterString>
<status><MD_ProgressCode codeList="http://www.isotc211.org/2005/resources/Codelist/gmxCodelists.xml#MD_ProgressCode" codeListValue="http://www.isotc211.org/2005/resources/Codelist/gmxCodelists.xml#MD_ProgressCode_completed">completed</MD_ProgressCode></status><descriptiveKeywords><MD_Keywords><keyword><gco:CharacterString>Stratigraphy</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>Atlantic Ocean</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>basalts</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>basement</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>boreholes</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>Cenozoic</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>igneous rocks</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>iron</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>magnetic properties</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>magnetization</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>metals</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>mid-ocean ridges</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>oxidation</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>oxides</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>Pacific Ocean</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>paleomagnetism</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>saturation magnetization</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>stratigraphy</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>temperature</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>Tertiary</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>titanomagnetite</gco:CharacterString></keyword><keyword><gco:CharacterString>volcanic rocks</gco:CharacterString></keyword></MD_Keywords></descriptiveKeywords><language><gco:CharacterString>English</gco:CharacterString></language><topicCategory><MD_TopicCategoryCode>geoscientificInformation</MD_TopicCategoryCode></topicCategory><extent><EX_Extent><geographicElement><EX_GeographicBoundingBox><westBoundLongitude><gco:Decimal>-80.0000</gco:Decimal></westBoundLongitude><eastBoundLongitude><gco:Decimal>20.0000</gco:Decimal></eastBoundLongitude><southBoundLatitude><gco:Decimal>-60.0000</gco:Decimal></southBoundLatitude><northBoundLatitude><gco:Decimal>75.0000</gco:Decimal></northBoundLatitude></EX_GeographicBoundingBox></geographicElement><geographicElement><EX_GeographicDescription><geographicIdentifier><MD_Identifier><code><gco:CharacterString>Atlantic Ocean</gco:CharacterString></code></MD_Identifier></geographicIdentifier></EX_GeographicDescription></geographicElement></EX_Extent></extent></MD_DataIdentification></identificationInfo></MD_Metadata>
