Well-developed channels across the entire fan length; they display classic inner-fan leveed profiles but evolve into distributaries in the midfan area as the gradient decreases sharply. During periods of low sea level, inner- and middle-fan channels funnel sand to distal depositional sites in the outer-fan area where the sand/shale ratios are highest.
