Journal of China University of Geoscience28 (2)157-162The physical properties of deep-sea sediment cores are useful for efficient calculation of the percentage of carbonate; this method has been successful in low-resolution research rather than in high-resolution research. Multiple regression equations are generated based on a comparison of diffuse reflectance and magnetic susceptibility records from ODP Leg 184; carbonate content was measured in our laboratory.
